    Keeping HELM simple

    HELM is easier to read and use, with simpler principles, practical tips, and a short roadmap focused on shared skills and a possible playbook.

    A concise guide and a focused next step

    • Choose a skill you want to improve and your role to get a short practice guide. Each guide includes practical steps, an illustrative example, an exercise for your next task and a self-check. Explore all five competencies across content, engineering, sales and account management, or share a link to a specific guide. A structured development-review method is still planned.

    • We may also add a short playbook for trying HELM on one piece of work. We’ll try it with a team first and keep it only if it helps.

    • Start with six principles written in everyday language, each with a small action to try. The guides now explain how to use the advice with your team, with further reading available when you want more detail.

    Clearer evidence, easier reading

    HELM 1.0.1 makes the guidance easier to evaluate, navigate, and apply while showing what is being developed next.

    Understand the guidance

    • See which recommendations draw on checked sources, which are proposed practices, and where evidence is still missing. This helps you judge how confidently to apply the guidance to your own work.

    • Read short notes on team working practices, decision ownership, and role expectations to help you adapt the guidance to your own team.

    Read and share with your team

    • The guides are easier to navigate on smaller screens and with a keyboard. Clearer text contrast and improved tables of contents help you find and read the sections you need.

    • Read the full guide and competency content even when interactive features are unavailable, or print it for a team discussion. Clear reuse and attribution guidance also helps you adapt HELM material for your team.

    • Follow dated updates with direct links to the resources that changed. You can also subscribe to published updates, so you do not have to check the site for every new release.

    What’s coming next

    • The roadmap now gives a clearer view of what is ready, what is being developed, and what still needs testing. Upcoming work includes a small kit for trying HELM on a real workflow and guidance for adapting responsibilities and learning needs.

    • Shared competencies and a development review are now explicit priorities. They will focus on working behaviors such as judgment, accountability, collaboration, and learning across roles. These resources are planned and will be tried with teams before publication.

    A shared starting point for human–agent teamwork

    The first numbered release brings HELM’s principles, practical guides, and role descriptions together, so your team can refer to the same version when discussing how to work with AI agents.

    A common language for your team

    • Explore six principles for decisions about AI-assisted work, from choosing simple approaches to keeping people accountable for results.

    • Use the Practitioner Guide to discuss how agents fit a workflow, how results should be checked, and where people need to make decisions.

    • Explore ownership, adoption, and measurement with the Leadership Guide, including questions to consider as your team changes how it works.

    • Explore how responsibilities and competencies may change across engineering, product, and design when agents become part of the work.

    Putting HELM to use

    • This release established a common reference for discussion and local testing. Teams still needed to try the guidance against their own work, and several recommendations were scheduled for review.
